Mike Tyson makes massive $13million purchase with huge purse from record-breaking Jake Paul fight

Whatever you think of Tyson vs Paul, with over 108 million global viewers and a peak of 65 million streams, there’s no question that the event was, financially speaking, extremely successful.

Whilst the fight purses have not been officially disclosed, reports suggest that Jake Paul made around $40 million to fight the former world champion back in November 2024.

Mike Tyson reportedly made around $20 million from that divisive matchup and is now splashing the cash with a new property in South Florida.

According to a report from the Palm Beach Post in Florida, Mike Tyson is making the most out of his extra revenue this year and has splashed a whopping $13 million on a new property.

As per a special warranty deed filed earlier this week, Tyson’s new 2.7-acre lot is one of only 78 properties located in the exclusive Tierra del Rey Estates area of Delray Beach and includes access to a private lake.

Tyson’s representative on the sale, Joseph Jonathan Schneider, told the outlet “This has been a successful transaction with all the parties demonstrating professionalism and collaboration.

“The Tyson family has been a valued client and friend for many years, and it’s been a pleasure working with them.”

Real Estate broker Matthew Maschler previously explained how Tyson was tempted into purchasing a property in the Tierra del Rey Estates (which translates into ‘Land of the Kings’) after his daughter started playing tennis.

“Basically, the appeal to him is his daughter plays tennis, and she plays in Delray, so he wants to be able to fly in, go see his daughter’s tennis match, go back to his plane and fly to wherever he came from.”

Being able to purchase a $13 million property in such a picturesque location must give Tyson a tremendous boost, especially with family ties in mind, but was it all worth it?

We imagine that had Mike Tyson been knocked out by Jake Paul, the answer to that question would have been wildly different, although fellow combat sports icons are still divided either way.

On one side of the Tyson-Paul debate is boxing legend Lennox Lewis, who told The Mirror a few weeks after the event that he was satisfied that all those involved got what they signed up for.

“You’re talking about an event for fans of Tyson to actually see him back in the ring, and fans of YouTuber, to see him in the ring with Tyson.

“At the end of the day, you’ve got a big event that a lot of people were happy to attend, and they felt OK. The boxing purists didn’t feel OK, they didn’t feel it was the right thing to do.”

Then, on the other side, you’ve got the likes of Mixed Martial Arts icon Don Frye, who claimed that the fight between 58-year-old Tyson and 27-year-old Paul made him sick with anger.

I tell you what buddy, that made me want to vomit,” said Frye via garyhgoodridge, sharing how he went home to watch some actual combat sports and not a “fraud” event.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

“I was so disgusted with that I had to go home and put in Tommy Hearns and Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard and Jake LaMotta, Rocky Marciano; I had to watch some real fighters because if I didn’t, I’d never watch another boxing match again – that was a fraud.”

The former dual-weight UFC champion recently sent shockwaves through the combat sports world by revealing he was in talks for a fight with YouTuber-turned-WWE star Logan Paul.

Rumors of a $500million purse gathered pace before ‘The Maverick’ seemingly ended talk of a return to the boxing ring, which he has previously entered three times for fights with Dillon Danis, Floyd Mayweather, and KSI.

Logan Paul ‘dedicated his life’ to the WWE and left Conor McGregor searching for a new opponent as he looks to end his lengthy layoff that dates back to July 2021.

Paul’s PRIME business partner boasts a 4-1 (1NC) professional boxing record.

The 31-year-old Englishman is currently looking for someone to face in his first fight since suffering a controversial unanimous defeat against Tommy Fury in October 2023.

KSI recently claimed that talk about him boxing McGregor was more than rumors. Now Mams Taylor – Misfits Boxing guru and KSI’s manager – has revealed that serious negotiations for the fight are currently taking place.

“There are talks taking place, and talks are leading to more talks,” Taylor told talkSPORT.

Heavyweight champion opens door to Jake Paul fight with two-word admission after DM

Heavyweight boxing champion Daniel Dubois has kept the door open to a potential fight with Jake Paul, admitting: “Money talks.”ul is looking for a new opponent after coaxing heavyweight icon Mike Tyson out of retirement and beating the 58-year-old by a unanimous decision in November. The bout, which saw a 31-year age between the fighters, drew huge criticism from boxing traditionalists.

However, the show, which was streamed on Netflix, was a huge commercial success, with both boxers and MMA stars now queuing up to face money-magnet Paul. Even Daniel Dubois, 27, who defends his IBF heavyweight strap against Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia next month, has hinted he is open to facing the ‘Problem Child’ one day.

Defeating Parker and then unifying the heavyweight belts with a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk are at the top of Dubois’s priorities list. But facing Paul is also possible, with the British fighter even contacting him directly via social media.

Asked why he reached out to Paul, a smiling Dubois told BoxNation: “You’ve got to, man. He’s taken liberties with Mike. [It’s for] For the boxing community, to make some noise.”

Asked if fighting Paul would be “free money”, Dubois added: “Yeah, easy money, as Floyd [Mayweather] says.”

Jake Paul

Still laughing, he added: “That would be a crazy shot, wouldn’t it? Giving a YouTuber a chance to become heavyweight champion of the world. Realistically, no. Let’s see, money talks.”

Former heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, 48, who is said to be considering a comeback, has also been mooted as a potential opponent for Dubois, who said: “They were talking about it, but it’s gone quiet now. I reckon he don’t fancy it anymore, having me on his case.

“It would be interesting, though. Boxing’s in a position where people in a position of power can make it happen. [Facing] Wladimir or whatever makes the most sense for the team [is possible]. Wladimir Klitschko, the legend. That would be something else, wouldn’t it?”

Following his second victory over Tyson Fury, Usyk lies in wait for the winner of Dubois vs Parker. The Ukrainian, 37, intends to carry on fighting, saying after beating Fury again: “I still have the willpower to go further. But now I want to go home, rest, turn off my phone.

“In my house I will sit like this [stretches out his arms behind him] and look at the sky and look at how the trees grow. Now I want to rest, not think about boxing, Dubois, Tyson Fury. Just rest and play with my children.”

Mike Tyson’s friend claims fight with Jake Paul was ‘rigged’ – as he reveals the moment he believes proves bout was fixed

Jake Paul‘s victory over Mike Tyson in their November scrap was fixed, a friend of the boxing legend has alleged.

Paul beat Tyson via unanimous decision in Texas in front of 70,000 fans and millions more watching over Netflix in what was largely a drab affair.

Iron Mike, 58, had suffered life-threatening health issues in the months preceding the fight and, despite a promising opening round, only landed 18 punches against a man 31 years his junior. Paul later claimed he had held off knocking out the icon out of respect.

This was his grand return to professional boxing, 19 years after his retirement, and had to go down as a seventh defeat on a formidable ledger that tells tales of six world heavyweight titles.

Fan theories ran wild in the build-up and aftermath of the fight that it had been rigged in Paul’s favour, and now it seems that Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones, a former NFL star and friend of Tyson, buys into them.

‘I truly think the fight was rigged because if you look at the first round, Mike hit him with a couple and it looked like he told him to slow down,’ Jones told the Mirror US.

‘I like Mike Tyson. I love Mike Tyson. I love to see a real fight with Mike Tyson.’

YouTuber-turned-puncher Paul has been no stranger to fight-fixing allegations since turning professional in 2020, even if they are sometimes made in jest.

‘The Problem Child’ has won 11 of his 12 fights, with his only defeat coming from the fists of Tommy Fury via a controversial split decision in February 2023.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

Given his age and Tyson’s health issues, it only seemed natural that the contest would head one way.

Tyson had already won 45 fights and won and regained two heavyweight belts by the time Paul was born in 1997. The fight was originally supposed to take place in July but a stomach alcer flare-up while on a plane meant that the 58-year-old was advised to delay the contest.

At the time, Tyson said: ‘I asked the doctor, “Am I going to die?”

‘I lost 25 pounds in 11 days. Couldn’t eat. Only liquids. Every time I went to the bathroom, it smelled like tar.

‘All my coordination, stamina, everything was hectic getting back. I was peaked already. I could have fought him that day. Now, I got to start from scratch. I had, like, eight blood transfusions. The doctor said I lost half my blood. I almost died.’

Less than 24 hours after the fight, he wrote on X: ‘This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.

‘I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.

‘To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish eights rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you’.

Iron Mike, who became the youngest heavyweight title-holder at 20 years and four months old in 1986, has struggled with a series of health issues in recent years.

Despite showing his enduring class in an exhbition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, Tyson has persistently battled with chronic knee and back problems.

Two years ago, he had a severe sciatica episode which left him in a wheelchair and then using a cane.

I almost died in June, says Mike Tyson

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has admitted he feels ‘kind of depressed’ following his return to boxing against Jake Paul last month.

The 58-year-old was soundly beaten by Paul, who is 31 years his junior, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The event, which was streamed to 65 million people on Netflix, was Iron Mike’s first professional bout in 19 years.

Tyson’s return to the sport was highly controversial, with the boxing community left divided due to the age-gap between the boxing legend and Paul.

While the once undisputed champion was handed a lucrative payday, his return back to normality has left him feeling melancholic.

“That fight was such a big ascent — we were so up and high, we were so excited,” Tyson told FOX Sports Radio.

“The fight’s over, boom. Wow, I’m kind of depressed a little bit. We got to get back [into] our living situation [daily life], back to living. [We were] training for it nine months.”

Paul and Tyson were due to square off in July, but the former world

champion had to pull out due to an ulcer, causing the event to be pushed back to November.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

The 58-year-old’s health scare was a cause for concern for boxing fans and experts alike before he suffered his seventh professional loss to Paul.

Following the clash, Tyson took to social media to share his pride in returning from a supposed near-death health scare to getting back in the ring.

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.

“I almost died in June. Had eight blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.

“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”

Before stepping into the ring, Tyson was not shy in opening up about the events that left him wondering whether he would survive.

Boxing legend ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is ready to put on a show for the world one last time.

The legendary boxer ended his 15-year-long retirement to face fellow veteran Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. This marked his first bout at the age of 54 years, which became a cause for serious concern. Nevertheless, Tyson once again sets his sights on making a return one last time against Jake Paul on November 15th.

The Youtuber turned boxer debuted on the undercard of Tyson vs. Jones Jr. Since then, Paul has racked up a rather impressive record of 10-1, only losing to Tommy Fury. Now, the younger Paul brother is looking to lock horns with aging ‘Iron Mike,’ which drew criticism from fans and Dana White. Moreover, an update on Tyson’s latest physique shocked Paul, as he offered his reaction in an Instagram post.

Jake Paul has been at odds with UFC’s head, Dana White, for quite some time, and his booking with Tyson has made it worse. Despite the criticism, it seems like Mike Tyson is really taking his training quite seriously, as evidenced by the Instagram post. It doesn’t seem like it will be an easy night for Paul, as the former world champion will look to win at all costs.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul’s bizarre post containing a bloated physique raised questions among fans. Despite being 58, Mike Tyson has exhibited shades of former self in training videos. It is something that has made Paul raise an eyebrow nervously. The 27-year-old walks into his 11th professional bout against a grizzled yet aging veteran.

A loss here could really dampen his name, leaving him to exercise his only option to jump to PFL. Paul also paved the way forFrancis Ngannou to join the league as well. While Ngannou made his successful return to MMA, it was his former boss, White, who lambasted the African for past issues. Taking the matter into his own hands, Paul jumped into Ngannou’s defense with his own take.

Following Ngannou’s successful return to MMA, Dana White was quizzed about his thoughts on the matter. White threw shade at Ngannou for leaving UFC in order to duck Jon Jones. Moreover, he claimed that the African star was on the verge of being cut from the UFC.

Jake Paul is a fan of the UFC as much as any other member of the MMA community. He has often made appearances in UFC events before allegedly getting barred. Responding to the claims, Paul reminded the UFC head of his old comments favoring Ngannou over Jones.

3 years ago, he was telling Jon Jones to move down to 185 to avoid Francis Ngannou, and that Jon didn’t really want to fight Francis… but now the narrative doesn’t suit Dana White.

White has leveled serious allegations against Paul for making use of PEDs to gain an unfair advantage. He also challenged Paul to undergo random testing for 2 years. The feud between the duo is still unsettled as they continue to throw shade at one another every chance they get.

The fight will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The cancellation of Jake Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson scheduled for July 20 did not upset the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s schedule.

He has kept his plans to step into the ring on the same date, although he found a new opponent to fulfill the commitment ahead of his fight with ‘Iron Mike’ on November 15.

His next opponent will be Mike Perry, former UFC fighter and current Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), with whom he will clash in an eight-round bout to be held at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Those who know me know I’m a risk taker and while ‘Platinum’ Perry might try to take me down, I’m Titanium Jake Paul and I’m not afraid of anyone,” Paul stated in an interview with ESPN about his decision to find the ideal opponent for a fight while stepping into the ring with Mike Tyson.

Lennox Lewis has been giving his views on the upcoming fight between his old foe Mike Tyson and young YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul.

This controversial bout was originally set for July but Tyson had an ulcer flare-up that delayed it until November 15. The officially sanctioned fight will last for eight two-minute rounds with no headgear and will count on both men’s pro records.

Lennox Lewis and Tyson Fury

‘Iron’ Mike hasn’t fought professionally for over 20 years since he ended his career with a pair of defeats, while Paul stopped his last opponent Ryan Bourland in the first round and is on a mission to prove himself in the sport.

Speaking to FX 29 Philadelphia, Lewis admitted he would be watching the fight.

“Yeh course, you never know what’s going to pop up. I’m happy for them, they’re going to make a good bag, a lot of kids love Jake Paul, a lot of kids love Tyson, they want to see what’s going to happen in the ring to both of them. Me too.

He was then asked if he was siding with Tyson.

Jake Paul AND Mike Tyson

“Mike Tyson is going to win. Mike Tyson is not that old. Don’t take him too softly.”

At 57 and as a former world champion, the host wondered if Lewis still had the level of skills to fight someone like Paul.

“No. You got to look at the age. You can probably fight somebody like that and do well cause they’re not a true fighter and there’s a 100 things you’ve forgotten that he’s learning. Age will be a determining favour if the fight goes too long. But if Mike comes with a 10-second combination and catches him, he’s 100% [going down]’”

Before news broke that it wouldn’t be just an exhibition fight, Lewis was originally pleased as he didn’t want Paul ‘to get hurt’.

“I’m glad otherwise I would feel really bad for Jake Paul, I don’t want him to get hurt”

That the fight is happening at all is a surprise given Tyson once said he would never fight the YouTuber.
