Fresh off a history-making performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Simone Biles is back on the mat. The gymnastics GOAT is currently on a cross-country trip with the Gold Over America Tour sponsored by Athleta, along with her Olympic teammates Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles, and other star gymnasts like Shilese Jones and Kayla Dicello. “One of the reasons I wanted to create this experience was to connect with and empower young girls,” Biles tells ELLE.com. “Not everyone can travel to major competitions to see us, so we’re bringing gymnastics to them and we’re making it fun.”

In Paris, Biles picked up three gold medals in the team event, all-around competition, and vault. On the final day of competition, she also earned a silver in floor. All those wins helped her become the most decorated American Olympic gymnast ever, but for Biles, the Games have always doubled as an opportunity to speak out about issues that matter most to her. Before leaving for Paris, she opened up to ELLE.com in an intimate interview about her work in the mental health space and learning to love her natural hair. “I used to worry about [my hair being considered] not professional,” she says. “But I’m not embarrassed about it anymore.”

And now, as she shares her many successes on tour, Biles says she will continue to stay focused on her goal of getting people “excited about gymnastics.” Ahead of her Barclays Center show in Brooklyn last night, the gymnast took us backstage to see how she gets ready. Spoiler: her pre-competition routine involves some very cheesy pizza.

Media personality Piers Morgan has confessed that he would pay money to watch Tiger Woods play golf until he was 90-year-old.

Tiger woods

Morgan has been playing alongside pro Matthew Jordan at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland this week when he made his bold claim.

The TV host and Arsenal football fan has long been an admirer of the world’s best sports stars. Including 15-time major winner Woods.

Although the golfing legend has been plagued by injuries and controversies – including a legal battle with a clothing brand, Morgan also insisted that Woods should continue playing for as long as possible.

Piers Morgan On Tiger Woods

Tiger woods

I think Tiger should play as long as he wants. I would pay to watch Tiger Woods until he’s 90. So if he wants to keep playing golf, let him play.

I remember him being written off last time, and then he won the Masters again. And suddenly all the critics that told him to give up, look very, very stupid.

I would never, ever write off Tiger Woods. Obviously, his body’s not quite there yet, but if he was to get back to proper fitness, he’s an incredible athlete, with amazing mental strength — why can’t he carry on?

I think Tiger is the greatest to ever play the game. Just think peak Tiger, if you watch the videos of him or watched him at the time as I did, and you compare him to any other golfer in history, there’s no comparison, I don’t think.

Obviously there are other greats, but peak Tiger Woods, he would have killed everyone,’ Morgan explained.

If Piers Morgan thinks he can replicate just a fraction of Tiger Woods’ golfing success then he should probably think again! Especially after he screwed his tee shot on the 16th at St Andrews.

Morgan’s terrible attempt was being filmed and his immediate reaction demonstrated just how bad he knew he had done. And many were quick to let him know on X, formerly Twitter.

One account with the handle @fergpj simply posted ‘Haha. What a clown.’ Another saw their chance to strike by simply saying ‘Just like Arsenal. Bottled it.’

It’s highly unlikely Morgan will lose any sleep over his tee shot or the comments that came with it. However, he does need to work on his swing a considerable amount if he wants to improve.

Simone Biles’ arsenal is pretty deep. With 30 Olympic and World Championships golds under her belt, the Texan packs heavy when it comes to having jaw-dropping routines. Add to the mix the fact that she has five routines named after herself, and you’d get a vague idea of just how good Biles is! One of the greatest Olympian gymnasts of all time, she is a once-in-a-century talent. And yet, even she is prone to being biased to her favorite moves.

Simone Biles

When you look at someone like Simone’s career, you’d be certain that they harbor an intense passion for what she does. Week after week, she executes her routines flawlessly. But some of those skills probably bring a broader smile to her face than the others.

Simone Biles isn’t devoid of being partial

NFL’s defensive lineman Cam Heyward recently caught up with the 7x Olympic champ to talk about how things have been going with the Gold Over America Tour. During their conversation, uploaded to YouTube as an episode of Not Just Football with Cam Heyward on October 2, Biles also had to answer some questions from her fans.

Heyward revealed that he would be catching the gymnast and her posse later that day at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. But he swiftly caught an elated Biles off-guard and posed her with a question his daughter told her to ask the Olympian about the latter’s favorite move. There, Biles confessed that there’s just something about the floor exercise that makes her want to do it on repeat.

Simone Biles

…My favorite event, floor. Because I just love to tumble,” said the 27-year-old with a grin, and she had her reason too. “It’s just something that most people cannot do with the human body and I think that’s what makes us so cool,” she elaborated during the conversation with Heyward. But Biles couldn’t just keep her namesake moves out of her mouth for too long. “…the Biles I on floor which is the very first skill I got named after me,” she said with a glimmer in her eyes. Perhaps, little Khloe got to ask the answer again later that night when she went to watch the gymnast in action. But considering how things have been so far in the event, we wouldn’t be too surprised if Biles’ little fan walked away from the Gold Over America Tour with a new favorite.

The GOAT touring with the GOAT squad

The GOAT returned after three long years. The pop-styled gymnastics tour will travel across the length and breadth of the country to bring action-packed shows to fans of all ages to bring more exposure to the sport and possibly find the next generation to carry the torch forward. Biles will be joined by her national teammates Joscelyn Roberson, Jade Carey, Brody Malone, Paul Juda, and more. Simone’s BFF Jordan Chiles will also be part of the performing roster, and it seems like the Gold Over America Tour has been a welcome change of scenery for the UCLA star as she tries to put her own Olympic misfortune in the rearview mirror.

The gymnasts will hit Philadelphia on October 4, and fans hope to see Biles & Co. do what they do best again. Have you been to any of these spectacular shows? Which have been your favorite skills to watch by far, by any of the emphatic stars? Tell us which routines make you gasp in astonishment the most with a comment below!

Tiger Woods continues to add to his busy schedule after announcing a new business venture, but is still yet to help the PGA Tour and LIV Golf reach an agreement

Tiger woods

Legendary golfer Tiger Woods has announced plans to design a second golf course in Texas, as he takes on yet another major project.

Woods, 48, announced Thursday that he’s teaming up with the Bluejack Ranch brand to design another course in Aledo, Texas. In a note published on their website, Woods wrote: “I’m grateful for the encore opportunity to reteam with Bluejack National and home-towners Andy and Kristin Mitchell to design a course around this incredibly special property and community.”

Tiger woods

He later added: “It’s extremely motivating for me to contribute to the golfing legacy of Fort Worth, and I’m excited to see what we’ll build together. We’ll share more after our next design meeting in Aledo.”

Woods remains one of several representatives from the PGA Tour holding talks with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) in an attempt to reach a deal with LIV Golf over a merger. Talks have been ongoing for over a year and Woods has been at the center of discussions but keeps finding new ventures to keep him occupied.

In addition to Woods’ new project, he’s set to debut a new golf league in January alongside fellow PGA Tour member Rory McIlroy. The high-tech golf league, TGL, will feature 24 top PGA Tour players in weekly televised matchups at an arena in Florida.

Tiger Woods

Woods and McIlroy partnered with renowned golf course architect Beau Welling to create virtual holes, which will be played in a 1,500-seater SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens. Woods and McIlroy will compete alongside big names such as Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, and Justin Rose.

With Woods heavily involved in the designs for a new course, preparing to launch TGL, and promoting clothing brand Sun Day Red, it’s left him with less time for traditional golf. Woods is now operating on a limited schedule and is next expected to play on Dec. 5 at the Hero World Challenge.

Woods’ days may be numbered in golf, but he’s been tasked with saving the future of the sport. The PGA Tour has been in talks with PIF since Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and Saudi chief Yasir Al-Rumayyan announced a shock framework agreement last June.

The deal is yet to be signed almost 18 months later, although Woods held talks with the PIF recently in New York according to ESPN. The last update Woods offered was at The Open Championship in July, as he said: “I can tell you we’re making progress. I can’t tell you more than that just because we’re not going to negotiate on the outside.

“We’ve got to keep everything at a high level and private, but things are moving and things are changing… There’s a good interchange of ideas and thoughts on how the game could look going forward. It’s just a matter of putting that all together legally.

“Obviously we have the DOJ with oversight looking into that as well and making sure that we don’t do anything improperly there, as well, but also making sure that all the players benefit from this as well as everyone who’s involved. They want to make money as well. They want to make that return.”

The Gypsy King takes to social media to compare their physiques, leaving fans wanting more

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

A potential showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has long been the fantasy fight boxing fans dream about. With both fighters reigning as two of Britain’s most celebrated heavyweights, the idea of these two giants meeting in the ring has sparked endless debates and speculation. Yet, despite no concrete plans for such a bout, Fury continues to stoke the fire of their rivalry in his signature brash style.

Anthony Joshua

While the boxing world waits for any official announcement, Fury isn’t waiting for the bell to start throwing jabs at Joshua-at least, not on social media. Fury’s antics have kept the spotlight on a possible clash, and he recently took to Instagram to deliver his latest barb, making a playful comparison between their physiques. The post quickly gained traction, igniting yet another round of discussions among fans about the contrasting approaches of the two fighters.

Fury, known for his larger-than-life personality, posted a picture of Joshua along with a detailed description of his disciplined, nutrition-packed breakfast routine. “My breakfast consists of yams, eggs, and dates. Followed by a big bowl of porridge, a protein shake, a glass of orange juice, and a glass of honey, lemon, and ginger,” read Joshua’s mock-up breakfast, highlighting the Olympian’s strict regimen. But it didn’t stop there.

In true Tyson Fury fashion, the Gypsy King’s caption had an entirely different tone. “I remember one night I had 14 pints of Fosters & then sparred three top-ten heavyweights and battered them all,”Fury quipped, playing up his unorthodox, everyman persona that fans have come to know and love. The post, dripping with sarcasm, was a reminder of Fury’s unique way of engaging with both his fans and rivals.

This latest post is far from the first time Fury has taken to social media to troll Joshua. For years, Fury has made it clear that despite Joshua’s polished public image and chiseled physique, he believes his unshakable confidence and skill set in the ring would prove too much for the former two-time heavyweight champ.

Fury vs. Joshua: The Battle of Britain on hold as verbal sparring intensifies

Despite the constant back-and-forth, the likelihood of a Fury vs. Joshua fight remains uncertain. With Fury scheduled to face unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk on December 21 in one of the year’s most highly anticipated rematches, it seems the Battle of Britain may have to wait.

However, that hasn’t stopped the public from clamoring for the matchup. With Fury’s sharp tongue and Joshua’s desire to regain his standing at the top of the heavyweight division, a future clash seems almost inevitable, even if it’s still just a distant possibility.

Whether Fury’s taunts will push Joshua into responding remains to be seen, but it’s clear that Fury’s psychological games are just as important as his prowess in the ring. As always, Fury knows how to keep himself and his potential opponents on their toes.

Until then, fans can only hope that the stars align for what would undoubtedly be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. For now, the verbal sparring continues, with Fury clearly relishing every moment.

WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is making his much-anticipated return to the ring against WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach sometime in December. There are a couple of dates being tossed around for the title fight, but nothing specific has been confirmed quite yet. Something similar was going on with the venue as well.

Gervonta Davis

Some reports claimed it could be in Washington, D.C. since both Davis and Roach are from the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. Meanwhile, a Las Vegas venue made more sense. Regardless, the Baltimore native has now hinted at a location where the fight may happen. According to Davis’ recent post on Instagram, where he took a jab at Frank Martin, Houston, Texas, seems to be the chosen city for the bout. The news has already generated buzz, with stars like Riddick BoweTank Dell, and others expressing excitement.

Earlier today, Tank took to Instagram to share a powerful moment from his last fight against Frank Martin. The post featured a still from the eighth round, just after Davis had knocked Martin out to successfully defend his WBA title. Alongside the image, Davis teased his next fight in December, captioning the post with, “DECEMBER, Houston #TheONE #LongLiveBABYFRANK.”

Gervonta Davis

Initial reports had suggested Davis’ bout against Lamont Roach could take place on either December 21—the same night as the highly anticipated Oleksandr UsykTyson Fury rematch in Saudi Arabia—or December 14. Given the magnitude of the Usyk-Fury rematch, it’s unlikely Premier Boxing Champions would schedule Davis’ fight on the same night, making December 14 a more plausible option.

Nevertheless, the location details alone were enough to prompt these sports personalities to share their thoughts in the post’s comment section.

Tim Wright is betting big on Davis

While it’s no secret that Davis had quite the pull in the community, nobody could have guessed just a single post would attract so many people. Memphis Grizzlies’ point guard, Ja Morant, used an emoji to share his thoughts about Davis. He commented, “🦍,” to emphasize Davis’ power. Davis is known to end fights with one punch, so having animalistic power shouldn’t be a surprise.

Meanwhile, wide receiver for the Houston Texans Tank Dell had a request for the WBA lightweight champion. “Drown em,” Dell wrote. Interestingly, Dell shares his nickname with Davis—Tank.

Another NFL player—the defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, Maxx Crosby, also joined the conversation. Like Morant, Crosby also used emojis to share his take. He wrote, “🦅🦅🦅.” Notably, Crosby uses boxing in his training—according to a report from Fox 5 Vegas, it helps him improve hand speed, technique, and understanding of distance.

Gervonta Davis

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Tim Wright seems to have found a huge money-making opportunity with Gervonta Davis’ recent announcement. He wrote, “Let me get my bet money ready! Christmas gone be lovely.” It’s worth mentioning that Davis is facing criticism for fighting Lamont, who is from a lower weight class, making their bout look like a cakewalk for Tank.

Even former undisputed heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe joined the conversation, to confirm his presence at the venue. “@gervontaa This your Big Uncle Bowe . I will be there, just missed you when I was [in] D.C.,” Bowe stated. Bowe has previously shown his support for Davis, and the duo have been spotted together as well.

That said, it appears it’s not just the fans excited about Gervonta Davis’ upcoming fight, even popular sports personalities are looking forward to the night of punches. However, the question is, with Davis taking on an easy challenge, does this fight seem worth it? What’s your take?

The LIV Golf-PGA Tour merger has been the flash point in the structure of golf competition ever since its plans came to the forefront. While the announcement happened quite a while back, there is almost constant attention on how it is going. The most recent flash in the pan was when it was revealed that some players felt that it was unfair that LIV Golfers would keep their earnings, which are in the hundreds of millions.

Tiger woods

The report was confirmed by Matt Fitzpatrick, who was asked whether the bad blood between the two tournaments’ golfers was starting to clear. He said, “Not necessarily. I think there’s probably some players in the States, their feelings, I don’t think they would be very happy.” PGA Tour golfers such as Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, and others have been quite vocal about their strong dislike of the whole LIV Golf concept.

While many players are involved in the merger talks, it would seem that some players harbor a much stronger dislike for change than others. Rory McIlroy, particularly, has been very critical of LIV Golf from the beginning. However, his stance has somewhat softened recently as he said, “They both want the same thing too. It’s a matter of getting all the different constituents on board,”.

Tiger woods and John Rahm

This week will be a big step in the saga as a joint tournament is being held at the Dunhill Golf Links in Kingsbarn where PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and LIV Golf owner Yasir Al-Rumayyan will be playing alongside several PGA Tour and LIV Golf professionals. But what does Matt Fitzpatrick think of a merger between the two tournaments?

Matt Fitzpatrick airs views

Matt Fitzpatrick had also been quite vocal about his dislike of the Saudi PIF-owned breakaway tournament, saying that he didn’t think it was fair that certain players could play in both tournaments. However, things appear to have changed as he conveyed his thought process, saying, “My issue was always, at the start, anyway, is you’ve gone over there. Like I don’t feel like it’s fair for you to try and come back and play, as well. But I would say I’ve changed on that now.” He also said that he wants to focus on himself rather than think about what is going on in the lives of other players.

Tiger woods and John Rahm

The Englishman also asserted that while he never harbored a desire to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf, he understood why some golfers did. He said, “I’ve always said that I understood why people went. I’ve got no issues with that. No issues at all.” While LIV Golf has lured top players from both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, the European Tour has been much more amiable in collaborating with the breakaway league. Some LIV Golf players have come back to play on the DP World Tour and more recently, LIV Golf Individual Champion Jon Rahm returned to play on home soil in a DP World Tour event.

So while all is not rosy for the merger, there is progress being made and issues being resolved. The change in perspective by Fitzpatrick and McIlroy is testament to the grinding out of an agreement for the good of the game.

Many young golfers in the industry have one dream – to eventually become a PGA Tour pro. And that stays the same for Tiger Woods’s son, Charlie Woods. We all know becoming a PGA Tour professional requires more than just a passion for the sport. Not everyone can prove themselves worthy, but in Charlie’s case, golf isn’t just a hobby for him. It’s way more than that, thanks to his dad.

So we get the gist as to why he would want to make a career out of it even though he is not part of his school team right now.

Charlie Woods

Yes, you read it right!

Despite his achievements this year, Woods will miss out on high school golf tournaments at The Benjamin School. The competition includes the Golf-Varsity-Boys and Golf-JV-Boys events. However, his ultimate dream of being a PGA Tour pro will not be affected.

By this, we mean there are only two main routes to PGA membership in the US as per a report by Golf Monthly. And let us tell you, none of them are simple.

The first is the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program, and the second is the PGA Golf Management University Program. Quite a mouthful, right?

Charlie Woods

Well, these are just the names, and the PGA PGM Associate Program requires its candidates to pass a background check. In addition, they should complete four Qualifying Level courses. After that, the candidate must pass the Player Ability Test (PAT) within 15 shots of the course rating and join the PGA PGM 3.1 Associate Program. So it’s not going to be a straightforward journey for little Woods.

In contrast, the PGA Golf Management University Program offers a degree in golf-related fields, which includes internship experience and player development opportunities. But what if Woods wants to pursue his dream outside the US? Well, there are some options for that as well.

MILWAUKEE — Simone Biles wants to go to another Olympics.

A Winter Olympics.

The 27-year-old hasn’t made any decisions about her gymnastics career or competing at the Los Angeles Games in 2028. Biles does know she’s going to take a break when her Gold Over America Tour – GOAT., get it? – wraps up in November, and is looking forward to doing things she’s never had time to before.

Cooking is a new passion. She’s got a restaurant, “Taste of Gold,” opening soon at Houston Intercontinental Airport. She and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, are planning trips.

Gervonta Davis has taken to social media to give his first reaction to the news that Devin Haney is now suing Ryan Garcia.

On Friday, news broke that Haney has filed a lawsuit against his last opponent alleging battery, fraud and unjust enrichment, relating to their fight in April.

The highly controversial bout saw Garcia dominate Haney, flooring him three times in a ruthless beatdown which he won on points.

However, it later emerged that he failed multiple drugs tests on the day before and the day of the fight.

As a result, Garcia’s team accepted a settlement with the New York Commission which saw him handed a one-year ban and fined $1million, with the win overturned to a no-contest.

Gervonta Davis

Now, Haney is taking things into his own hands which further legal action.

Haney’s attorney Pat English wrote in a 16-page filing that his client is seeking punitive damages (damages awarded separately from the actual damages from an event).

“At no time did Devin Haney consent to engage in a bout against a boxer who was positive for a performance-enhancing drug, and would not have proceeded with the bout had he known,” the lawsuit reads .

“The New York Commission would not have permitted the bout had it known of the positive finding or of Garcia’s IV use.

“Adding insult to the Commission and to the sport of boxing, Mr. Garcia has alleged that he was ‘high as f*** during’ his bout with Mr. Haney.

“This very clearly brings disrepute on the sport of boxing and by derivation on the New York State Athletic Commission…

“The Actions of Ryan Garcia and those who assisted him evince a high degree of moral turpitude and demonstrate wonton dishonesty as to imply criminal indifference to his civil obligations as well as wilful or wanton negligence, or recklessness, or where there is a conscious disregard of the rights of others or conduct so reckless as to amount to such disregard.”

Gervonta Davis

In relation to the battery count, English added: “[Haney] at no time agreed to engage in a bout against an individual who had taken a performance-enhancing drug.

“His consent was limited to a bout held fairly and under the rules and prohibitions set forth above.

“Thus, the fighting (touching) by Garcia was non consensual.

“Devin Haney suffered damages in that he suffered physical injury, reputational damage which will amount to millions of dollars, and emotional and mental distress.”

The fraud count is connected to Garcia’s signed documents vowing he would not use performance-enhancing drugs.

And the unjust enrichment count stems from Haney’s legal team’s assessment that Garcia doesn’t deserve to keep his purse and pay-per-view profits.

The news of the lawsuit has set the boxing world alight.

One person who initially didn’t give any reaction is Haney’s lightweight rival Davis, who is friendly with Garcia after they fought last year.

Tank has now tweeted about the lawsuit though.

In response to a fan who tweeted: “Didn’t Bill Haney say they were sending in Devin Haney to kill Ryan Garcia? Said he really wants Ryan to die in the ring? Now Team Haney is saying they could’ve died and wanting to sue. Lol, b**ch move.”

Davis simply gave his thoughts by replying: “Crazy how life works.”
