Tyson Fury is currently dealing with something he never has before in the sport of boxing – bouncing back from defeat.

TYSON FURY VS DEONTARY WILDER

The Morecambe heavyweight lost out to Oleksandr Usyk in their undisputed title fight, suffering a brutal ninth round that resulted in a count from the referee and ultimately a loss on the cards. The rematch is set for December 21.

Former heavyweight world title challenger Dillian Whyte – who made a low-key return to the sport in March after he was cleared to box when a doping investigation found he had used a contaminated supplement – told IFL TV that it was possible for his former opponent to win second time around but questioned if he was the same fighter he used to be.

Tyson Fury VS Dillian Whyte

“It’s heavyweight boxing so anything is possible and you can’t write Fury off but maybe these hard fights he’s had have taken a toll on him, you never know, he’s human and he’s had a lot of hard fights, a lot of knockdowns and maybe it’s taken a toll on him and maybe he’s not even bothered or motivated anymore.

If he trains right he’s big so stands a chance but Usyk’s self confidence will be through the roof and before he thought he could outbox him but now he knows he can hurt him so it’ll be a much more difficult task [for Fury] this time around.”

Fury was in a demanding trilogy with Deontay Wilder before two more straightforward title defences against Whyte and Chisora. The bout before Usyk was against Francis Ngannou, in which the Brit was knocked down heavily before scraping a split decision win.

There are a few suiter to face him and even when the list is short there are many interesting encounters to please the fans

Vasiliy Lomachencko is the IBF lightweight champion, and according to reports, he was negotiating with Gervonta Davis to try and unify the title as Davis is the WBA champion, however things could change, as trainer Kenny Ellis believes differently.

Gervonta Davis vs Vasiliy Lomachenko

“Lomachenko said he will step aside and let Gervonta Davis fight Shakur Stevenson this fall, and he’ll fight the winner early 2025,” Ellis said on Instagram. If that is the case, the tide has turned on this boxing division for the near future.

The fact the Stevenson is holding the WBC title, Lomachenko could fight for three belts rather than two if he waits a little longer to then later try and unify the division making it more interesting for the parties involved.

Shaku Stevenson is a good fit for now

Shakur Stevenson is the boxer that many wanted to see in action again. The Olympic champion in Rio de Janeiro 2016 will have his debut in 2024 against Artem Harutyunyan where the WBC lightweight title will be at stake and the expectation is to see what his presentation will be like.

Gervonta Davis vs Shakur Stevenson

Because if he leaves a good image, the hope grows for the fight that has been expected for a long time to gain strength against Gervonta Davis. The lightweight champion will put his title at stake this Saturday, July 6 in New Jersey. Shakur has not fought since November, when he defeated Edwin De Los Santos in a fight that did not satisfy the spectators, who called Stevenson boring.

This test against the German Harutyunyan will serve for the 27-year-old boxer to demonstrate that he is in a position to have a chance against someone who looks unbeatable like Gervonta.

Ryan Garcia and Claressa Shields are at war. The two boxers were going at X and unleashed some verbal jibes. But things took a nasty turn when ‘GWOAT’ shared some messages that ‘KingRy’ dropped in her DMS. What’s more? The latter owned up to his deed and accepted that it was “all” him. What happened exactly?

Claressa Shields v Ryan Garcia

Garcia, 25, and Shields, 29, have been at loggerheads since she favored Devin Haney as the two childhood rivals tussled over the ostarine saga. The American boxer has openly opened fire on Garcia, as she blasted him for cheating. But she expected it the least when Garcia sent her derogatory messages, which she shared on her X handle. Garcia, at 24-1, went on a rampage and insulted Shields, as he wrote, “I’m saying you said my mom don’t got cancer crack head. Are you f*king an idiot. Dumb a*s crack head read b*tch. Screenshot b*tch.”

After the 14-0 record holder shared the shocking conversation on X, Garcia candidly responded to her claim and accepted, “That’s all me.”

The two boxers hadn’t found a middle ground in these months, with taunts and accusations flying across their social media handles. In addition, they didn’t let any opportunity slide by to make a jibe at each other. But the friction between them is reaching a tipping point, as the Flint native blasted Garcia and called him a “piece of sh*t.” What else did she say?

Claressa Shields labels Ryan Garcia as “the problem”

After Garcia labeled Shields as “anti-humans” and slandered her, the latter penned a lengthy note, calling out the Victorville native. The light middleweight champion pointed out that Garcia was using the platform to mislead people. She penned, “Man @RyanGarcia you are a piece of sh*t! You use your platform to lie and mislead the people. It’s sad.”

The undisputed champion added, “And now that your roller coaster is going down you are pointing the finger at everyone else! Go look in the mirror! You are the problem! You are The reason. Stop using God to make excuses for you being a terrible person! The jig is up! GO GET HELP!!”

Notably, Shields has also floated the idea of a man-vs.-woman boxing match against Garcia to settle their beef once and for all. However, it might not materialize anytime soon because Garcia has to serve a year-long ban after NYSAC slapped him with a year ban, along with a fine and a forfeit of the guaranteed purse.
