Mike Tyson confirmed next fight to close circle immediately after Jake Paul loss

Mike Tyson is said to be considering stepping back into the boxing ring for a rematch with nemesis Evander Holyfield – the heavyweight champion whose ear he famously chewed off during a bout.

Tyson is poised to take a deal to go toe-to-toe with Holyfield, who beat the Brooklyn brawler twice in the 1990s. The astonishing claim comes from actor and martial arts champion and expert Paulo Tocha, who has an insight into the fight game and potential secret plans for Tyson.

Tocha suggested that Tyson is on course to step back between the ropes despite telling fans he was retired after losing to Jake Paul in the highly viewed Netflix clash last year.

Tocha, who starred opposite Jean Van Damme in Bloodsport, appeared nervous to spill more details when pressed on his inside knowledge of the Holyfield suggestion. But the South African, 69, feels that Tyson shook off some of his ring rust against Paul and is in better shape for second comeback bout.

He insisted Tyson was telling the truth when he suggested that may want another ring rumble immediately after the end of his Paul fight . Speaking exclusively at the premiere of ‘Chuck Zito: An American Story’, Tocha revealed: “At the end he kind of let us know there’s another one coming.

“Lemme put it this way, if Tyson trains correctly and prepares himself, he should take on another fight. A more serious fighter, a more serious opponent, and a bigger money maker.

“Most probably it’s going to be Evander after all. He and Evander – after what happened to his ear and all that. So most probably it’ll be something like that.“

Holyfield was one of the commentators for Netflix’s Tyson comeback. In 2021 the “Warrior” lost in the first round to Vitor Belfort in a return, which sparked controversy among the fight community.

But many social media fans blasted Tyson too for his performance and apparent lack of menace or ferocity against Paul. But Tocha believes the entrepreneur, who runs a cannabis empire, needed that match up to sharpen his skills again.

Mike Tyson

“That’s why I thought it was a good show, a warmup for Tyson,” he added. He got to get some rust off of the ring, got to feel himself again, caught himself back again on top.

“What do people expect him to do, really? I mean, good luck to him. He is a great warrior. He is a big champion and he’s one of the biggest, if not the biggest name in boxing. “

“But you’ve got to understand the fighter’s game and at that age, you’re not supposed to be in the ring, even if you’re spectacular. It’s just not so good for the brain. “

Tocha, who is friends with members of Tyson’s inner circle, was not happy with the backlash over the fight. He added: “I think in today’s fight world, it’s a fruit salad and you cut it all up and sometimes it comes out sour and sometimes it comes out sweet.

“And I feel with Tyson, he is exactly in that spot because the audience that’s watching him now doesn’t understand boxing from the old days. They’ve got no clue. He’s just a new name, a newcomer, and he’s part of a family tradition of fighters who watched Tyson throughout his career. It doesn’t matter when or if it’s raining or snowing or sunshine. It’s Tyson that’s fighting. It’s the name. I love him because of that.”

But Tocha believes Tyson would get his revenge on Holyfield, who took the Brooklyn brawler’s WBA Title with an 11th round TKO in Nov. 1996. Seven months later their second fight shocked fans when Tyson bit off a part of Holyfield’s ear and then chomped down on the other before being disqualified.

Asked who would win almost 30 years on from their bite night fright, Tocha smirked: “Between those two? Oh, Tyson. Always on Tyson, any way. But it’s business, man. It’s business. It’s smart. Where else are you going to make this kind of money in today’s world, in today’s society? It’s genius.”

He spoke at the premiere of close friend Chuck Zito’s film premiere for his documentary An American Story. The doc tells the story of how Zito went from being a New York Hell’s Angel to a celebrity bodyguard, actor and now close friend of Donald Trump.

Close friend Tocha said: “He’s as real as it gets. He’s a good actor, man, and he’s real. And Hollywood has got this problem with reality. They don’t accept it. They are chicken sh–, He’s a good dude.”

Mike Tyson makes massive $13million purchase with huge purse from record-breaking Jake Paul fight

Whatever you think of Tyson vs Paul, with over 108 million global viewers and a peak of 65 million streams, there’s no question that the event was, financially speaking, extremely successful.

Whilst the fight purses have not been officially disclosed, reports suggest that Jake Paul made around $40 million to fight the former world champion back in November 2024.

Mike Tyson reportedly made around $20 million from that divisive matchup and is now splashing the cash with a new property in South Florida.

According to a report from the Palm Beach Post in Florida, Mike Tyson is making the most out of his extra revenue this year and has splashed a whopping $13 million on a new property.

As per a special warranty deed filed earlier this week, Tyson’s new 2.7-acre lot is one of only 78 properties located in the exclusive Tierra del Rey Estates area of Delray Beach and includes access to a private lake.

Tyson’s representative on the sale, Joseph Jonathan Schneider, told the outlet “This has been a successful transaction with all the parties demonstrating professionalism and collaboration.

“The Tyson family has been a valued client and friend for many years, and it’s been a pleasure working with them.”

Real Estate broker Matthew Maschler previously explained how Tyson was tempted into purchasing a property in the Tierra del Rey Estates (which translates into ‘Land of the Kings’) after his daughter started playing tennis.

“Basically, the appeal to him is his daughter plays tennis, and she plays in Delray, so he wants to be able to fly in, go see his daughter’s tennis match, go back to his plane and fly to wherever he came from.”

Being able to purchase a $13 million property in such a picturesque location must give Tyson a tremendous boost, especially with family ties in mind, but was it all worth it?

We imagine that had Mike Tyson been knocked out by Jake Paul, the answer to that question would have been wildly different, although fellow combat sports icons are still divided either way.

On one side of the Tyson-Paul debate is boxing legend Lennox Lewis, who told The Mirror a few weeks after the event that he was satisfied that all those involved got what they signed up for.

“You’re talking about an event for fans of Tyson to actually see him back in the ring, and fans of YouTuber, to see him in the ring with Tyson.

“At the end of the day, you’ve got a big event that a lot of people were happy to attend, and they felt OK. The boxing purists didn’t feel OK, they didn’t feel it was the right thing to do.”

Then, on the other side, you’ve got the likes of Mixed Martial Arts icon Don Frye, who claimed that the fight between 58-year-old Tyson and 27-year-old Paul made him sick with anger.

I tell you what buddy, that made me want to vomit,” said Frye via garyhgoodridge, sharing how he went home to watch some actual combat sports and not a “fraud” event.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

“I was so disgusted with that I had to go home and put in Tommy Hearns and Sugar Ray Robinson and Sugar Ray Leonard and Jake LaMotta, Rocky Marciano; I had to watch some real fighters because if I didn’t, I’d never watch another boxing match again – that was a fraud.”

The former dual-weight UFC champion recently sent shockwaves through the combat sports world by revealing he was in talks for a fight with YouTuber-turned-WWE star Logan Paul.

Rumors of a $500million purse gathered pace before ‘The Maverick’ seemingly ended talk of a return to the boxing ring, which he has previously entered three times for fights with Dillon Danis, Floyd Mayweather, and KSI.

Logan Paul ‘dedicated his life’ to the WWE and left Conor McGregor searching for a new opponent as he looks to end his lengthy layoff that dates back to July 2021.

Paul’s PRIME business partner boasts a 4-1 (1NC) professional boxing record.

The 31-year-old Englishman is currently looking for someone to face in his first fight since suffering a controversial unanimous defeat against Tommy Fury in October 2023.

KSI recently claimed that talk about him boxing McGregor was more than rumors. Now Mams Taylor – Misfits Boxing guru and KSI’s manager – has revealed that serious negotiations for the fight are currently taking place.

“There are talks taking place, and talks are leading to more talks,” Taylor told talkSPORT.

Fury announces retirement from boxing again

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from boxing.

Fury last fought in December when he lost his rematch against WBA (Super), WBC and WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk.

The 36-year-old Fury previously announced his retirement after beating Dillian Whyte in April 2022 but returned six months later.

The Briton has enjoyed two stints as heavyweight champion and holds a record of 34 wins, two defeats and one draw.

“Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet,” Fury said.

“I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing, it has been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it and I’m going to end with this; Dick Turpin wore a mask.”

The Briton shocked long-reigning world champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to win the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles.

After over two-and-a-half years out of the ring, during which he tackled mental health issues, Fury returned to action in 2018 and became a two-time champion by beating Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC belt in 2020.

‘Is this the end? I doubt it’ – Hearn

Fury’s decision to retire denies fans the chance to see a long-anticipated clash with fellow Briton Anthony Joshua.

On Saturday, Joshua said a fight with Fury “has to happen this year” when speaking at the Ring Magazine awards.

Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua, has however questioned the legitimacy of Fury’s announcement.

“We’ve been here before. If that is the end, congratulations on a great career,” Hearn told BBC Sport.

“One of the best heavyweights of this generation and made a bucket load of money. If your hearts not in it, if the fight has been punched out of you, it’s definitely time to call it quits.

“A few people will always suggest that he could be calling a bluff, but I don’t know him well enough to give you an answer. If you don’t want it anymore, if your hearts not in it anymore, if you’ve had the fight punched out of you – it’s a dangerous game.”

Joshua and Fury have been leading figures in the heavyweight division over the past decade but both are looking to bounce back from losses.

Joshua suffered the fourth defeat of his career against IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in September, while Fury’s last two trips to the ring have ended in losses against Usyk.

“You do not want to get in the ring with Anthony Joshua if you’re doing it for money,” Hearn added.

“You’ve got to want it. You’ve got to want to provide the British public with the biggest fight in the history of the sport. You’ve got to want to go to war with AJ and get that victory. If it’s just a money thing, you’ve got enough money.

“I’m always an optimist. For me when that fight with AJ is a fight that can be made in two minutes in a room, I am always hopeful. But Tyson Fury’s earned the right to make his own decisions. If he’s done, he’s done. If not, then we make the biggest fight in the history of the sport. Only time will tel

“Every fight fan stops me in the street and asks when do we get to see that fight. AJ has made it very clear in last couple of days, he’s called Fury out. It’s quite unlike Anthony.

“Fury doesn’t want the fight, there’s nothing you can do. You can’t drag him into the fight. I don’t know whether this was a move to stop the flow of pressure because with AJ calling him out, pressure is mounting. It could be the start of a great build-up, great mind games or it could be the end of Tyson Fury’s career.

“What lays in the palm of his hand is the biggest fight in the history of our country. Will he walk away from that? Maybe.”

‘He’s been something special’ – Warren

Fury boasted an undefeated record of 34 wins and one draw until he met Ukraine’s Usyk in the first heavyweight undisputed contest of the four-belt era.

Tyson Fury

Usyk won the first meeting by split-decision and backed up that performance with a unanimous decision victory last month.

Frank Warren, who promotes Fury, told BBC Radio 5 Live he had not spoken to Fury prior to his retirement announcement.

I’ve said all along that there is no way I will be trying to in anyway influence him,” Warren said.

“If that what he wants to do, that’s great. He’s done everything he can do. Probably been the best British heavyweight of his generation by far. Two-time world champion, two closely fought fights against Usyk. He’s got plenty of money, got his wits about him, got a lovely family. God bless him, enjoy.

“He’s become a world star. If you look at some of the fights he’s had, he’s not been in one fight that hasn’t been exciting. Very, very exciting fights. Big heart, got off the floor when he’s been knocked down by big punches and come back to win fights. He’s been something special.”

A quick glance at the comments section on Fury’s retirement announcement video tells you everything you need to know. We have been here before and only a few truly believe the Gypsy King’s words.

The general feeling is that Fury will be lured back into the ring. A super-fight with Joshua, one which has been years in the making, makes too much money for it to not materialise – especially with the Saudi-funded heavyweight showdowns.

After Fury’s losses to Usyk and Joshua’s shock defeat by Daniel Dubois, perhaps this is Fury’s way to hype up a fight which had lost a bit of its appeal; make the public think it will never happen before it does. Fury’s savvy boxing business acumen matches his in-ring intelligence.

If this is the end for the Morecambe fighter – and that’s a big if – then he will go down as one of Britain’s greatest heavyweights of the modern-era, and there is certainly no shame ending your career after defeats by generational great Oleksandr Usyk.

Tyson Fury: Final curtain for the ‘Gypsy King’?

Tyson Fury has, not for the first time, announced his retirement from the boxing ring. But is this really the end of the road for the “Gypsy King”?

The towering 36-year-old British heavyweight called it a day on Monday, just weeks after his second straight defeat by Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

“Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet,” he said in a post on social media, apparently filmed inside a vehicle.

“I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing; it has been a blast; I’ve loved every single minute of it.”

Fury enjoyed two stints as the heavyweight world champion and retires with a record of 34 wins, two defeats and one draw.

That is if he stays retired.

Fury has previously announced his exit on a number of occasions, most recently in April 2022.

READ NORE:http://Tyson Fury: Final curtain for the ‘Gypsy King’?

But they all turned out to be short-term absences from the ring and many pundits are sceptical that this really is the end.

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, told the BBC Fury had become a “world star”.

“If you look at some of the fights he’s had, he’s not been in one fight that hasn’t been exciting,” he said.

Fury’s retirement appears to mean he will not take on another former world champion, Anthony Joshua, in a long-anticipated all-British showdown.

Joshua said at the weekend a fight with Fury “has to happen this year”.

Tyson Fury

On Monday, Joshua’s promoter, Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, said he doubted that Fury was really gone for good.

The two-time heavyweight world champion, who stands six feet nine inches (206 centimetres) tall was born three months’ premature in Manchester in 1988, weighing just one pound (half a kilogram).

He was named after American boxing great Mike Tyson while his “Gypsy King” nickname comes from his Irish Traveller roots.

Fury turned professional in 2008 before becoming the British and Commonwealth champion with victory over Derek Chisora three years later.

In 2014, he beat Chisora again, this time for the European and WBO international heavyweight titles.

– Depression and alcohol problems –

Fury became a global name in November 2015 when he defied the odds to end Wladimir Klitschko’s decade-long heavyweight reign with

a unanimous decision to take the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.

But his joy proved to be short-lived.

He ended up spending two-and-a-half years outside the ring, during which he battled depression, drink and drug problems, ballooning to more than 28 stones (178 kilograms).

Fury tested positive for banned steroid nandrolone in February 2015 but blamed the result on eating uncastrated wild boar.

He was cleared to fight again in December 2017 by UK Anti-Doping after accepting a backdated two-year ban.

“I woke up every day wishing I would not wake up any more,” he told the BBC in 2018 as he prepared to return to action.

“But I am living proof anyone can come back from the brink.”

Fury, a colourful character known as much for his behaviour outside the ring as inside it, famously dressed as Batman for a pre-fight press conference ahead of his fight with Klitschko.

But he has drawn criticism for controversial comments on a range of issues including homosexuality and the role of women.

Fury became a two-time champion by beating Deontay Wilder to claim the WBC belt in 2020 in the second of a trilogy of fights against the American.

He announced he was quitting boxing — again — after beating Britain’s Dillian Whyte in April 2022 but changed his mind and returned to action later that year.

He overcame a big scare against converted MMA fighter Francis Ngannou in 2023 before being handed
his chances against Usyk in two

unification fights, coming up short on both occasions.

“Probably been the best British heavyweight of his generation by far,” said Warren.

“Two-time world champion, two closely fought fights against Usyk. He’s got plenty of money, got his wits about him, got a lovely family. God bless him, enjoy.”

But do not hold your breath.

Dubois-Parker news conference overshadowed by Fury retirement

Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker became a sideshow at their own news conference after fellow heavyweight Tyson Fury announced his second retirement from boxing earlier on Monday.

Briton Dubois will defend his IBF world title against New Zealand’s Parker on 22 February in Saudi Arabia, with the main event a rematch between light-heavyweight rivals Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

The heavyweight pair tried their utmost to promote their own fight, and one of the most talent-laden cards of recent times, but were continuously asked to field questions about former world champion Fury.

“If Tyson is ready to retire, then he should hang up his gloves and enjoy his life. He’s achieved, he’s content,” Parker said of his friend and sparring partner.

READ MOREL:http://Dubois-Parker news conference overshadowed by Fury retirement

Dubois, speaking to BBC Sport in London, questioned whether Fury – who announced his retirement in April 2022 but returned six months later – will stay retired.

“He might come back. You never know with Fury. Either way, he’s a legend,” the 27-year-old said.

The attention diverted back to next month’s card as Dubois and Parker shared sometimes awkward exchanges at the top table.

Daniel Dubois

Parker, 33, questioned why Dubois entered the ring to call out fellow champion Oleksandr Usyk after the latter’s win over Fury in December.

“It’s all about making noise. This is show business. That’s what I want next. First I want to get through this guy,” Dubois replied, promising a “demolition job” on Parker.

‘I’ll teach you a few things’ – Dubois tells Parker

Greenwich’s Dubois made a successful first defence of his IBF title by dismantling Anthony Joshua in five rounds at Wembley Stadium in September.

Addressing Fury’s retirement, his promoter Frank Warren said: “Daniel is the next Brit on the block coming though. He’s the guy.”

Dubois is eyeing a rematch with Usyk after being stopped by the Ukrainian in August 2023.

“You might be looking too far ahead,” Parker warned him.

Dubois and Parker shared pleasantries when they crossed paths in a hotel lobby in Riyadh last month but there was an air of tension this time.

“I’ve got my mind firmly set on you,” Dubois said.

“It better be,” Parker, who held the WBO title between 2016 and 2018, replied.

Despite three losses in a 38-fight career, Parker has revived his career with a four-fight winning streak, including solid victories over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.

“I’ve been boxing for a while and I feel like I’ve only just started,” the Auckland fighter added.

Dubois’ sometimes awkward demeanour does not necessarily lend to trash talk, yet he drew a laugh as he quipped: “I’ll teach you a few things in there. A few new skills.”

Billionaire status can’t be attained through music, sport alone – Anthony Joshua

Nigerian-British boxer ha Anthony Joshuas shared advice on what it takes to become a billionaire, emphasising that sports, music, or entertainment alone are unlikely paths to such wealth.

In a Snapchat post, Joshua urged individuals to prioritise sustainability, education, and sound business ethics over the allure of fame.

“For any to reach billionaire status, it will not be through sports, music or entertainment.

“Don’t get lost in the hype, focus on the sustainability, books, and business ethics”, he said.

He highlighted that only a select few entertainers and athletes—such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James—have attained billionaire status.

According to Joshua, these individuals succeeded by expanding their wealth through strategic business ventures beyond their primary careers.

Anthony Joshua Delivers 4 Word Message To Usyk After Coming Face To Face For First Time Since Fury Win

Oleksandr Usyk sits right at the top of many pound-for-pound lists.

The former undisputed cruiserweight champion stepped up to heavyweight just five years ago and has beaten all comers on his way to gaining every belt in boxing’s blue-riband division.

After victories over Chazz Witherspoon and Derek Chisora the Ukrainian dethroned Anthony Joshua, taking his WBA, IBF and WBO titles when he outpointed the Brit over 12 rounds in London back in 2021. The following year Usyk repeated the feat and retained his belts in a rematch in Saudi Arabia

Daniel Dubois was then called as a mandatory and, after being put on the canvas for the first time in his career from a controversial low blow, Usyk stopped his man in the ninth round to setup an undisputed clash against WBC champion Tyson Fury.

The 37-year-old defeated ‘The Gypsy King’ twice within the space of seven months to cement his standing as the best heavyweight of his generation and become the divisions first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis nearly 25 years ago.

Anthony Joshua

At The Ring Magazine awards, Joshua came face-to-face to Usyk for the first time since his second victory over Fury and had a simple message for the champion after cleaning out the division – “I’m proud of you”.

Dubois retains title as head clash ends Camara bout in draw

British lightweight Caroline Dubois retained her WBC world title after her contest with Jessica Camara ended in a frustrating technical draw because of a clash of heads.

On her 24th birthday, Dubois dropped the challenger with a smart, straight left hand in the first round in Sheffield.

The Londoner sensed an early finish and continued to pile on the pressure in the second as blood flowed down from Camara’s left eye after the accidental coming together of heads.

The referee and ringside doctor waved off the contest before the third, ruling the 36-year-old Canadian – whose right eye was also heavily swollen – was not fit to continue.

“The blood wasn’t coming in her face, she didn’t want it,” said Dubois, who won her first 10 pro fights.

“It was either getting stopped by a doctor or I’m stopping it. I wish her well and hope she has a safe flight home.”

Dubois was upgraded from interim to full world champion after Katie Taylor vacated her belt. She has called for a unification fight with Doncaster’s WBO champion Terri Harper next.

Barnsley’s Callum Simpson defended his British and Commonwealth super-middleweight title with a second-round stoppage of Steed Woodall in the main event.

The 29-year-old Simpson sent Woodall to the canvas with a barrage of shots, before the referee intervened after another attack moments later, despite the protests of Woodall, 30.

Caroline vs camara

It was not the outcome Dubois wanted, but an otherwise impressive four minutes of boxing from the champion.

Her entrance to a dance remix of Whitney Houston’s ‘I’m every woman’ hyped up the sold-out 3,000 crowd, made up almost entirely of fans supporting Yorkshireman Simpson.

Dubois came out with real intent. She landed a crisp body shot early in round one, before flooring Camara with the southpaw left.

Former cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith cheered his stablemate on from ringside as Dubois landed hurtful, menacing power punches.

Camara was on a four-fight winning streak, but the Montreal fighter was clearly out of her depth as she sighed on return to the corner.

Dubois continued to bulldoze her way through in the second, grunting with each punch thrown.

She looked set for a sixth stoppage win before the disappointing finish brought a premature end to proceedings. If the contest had gone past the fourth round, it would have been decided by the judges’ scorecards.

“The cut was on the side and it [blood] wasn’t dropping in the eye. I was surprised we didn’t go past four rounds,” added Dubois’ trainer Shane McGuigan.

Floyd Mayweather’s Privilege Denied as Dana White Delivers on Boxing Promise With Turki Alalshikh

Boxing may soon welcome a new promotion. Not entirely new, though. Dana White has been in the combat sports business for the last 32 years. He transformed the UFC from a small $2 million business into a $10 billion behemoth. White could bring similar success to boxing, particularly with the backing of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh. Together, they may reshape the traditional structure of a sport that has long been defined by its conventions.

Introducing significant changes, HE Alalshikh and Riyadh Season have already made notable strides in boxing. Their efforts have brought some of the most high-profile fights in recent years to the forefront. Speaking with Carl Froch, HE Alalshikh roped in a Floyd Mayweather example and hinted at potential transformations. With Dana White’s involvement, fans can expect notable changes in the sport moving forward.

READ MORE:‘You’re About to Crash…’: Unauthorized Filming of Floyd Mayweather Lands Passerby in Trouble With TMT Security

On Froch’s channel, HE Alalshikh shared his views on a possible matchup between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, both of whom have suffered recent losses. For Alalshikh, the key question was whether both fighters were focused and determined enough to make the historic clash happen.

Froch acknowledged this concern. He noted that Tyson Fury’s recent loss to Oleksandr Usyk might impact his motivation for a comeback. Alalshikh emphasized that it was time for a shift in how losses are perceived in boxing. He suggested that losing shouldn’t be viewed negatively.

We must now, uh, be, uh, normal, uh, to be, uh, normal, uh, to have losing some fights in the boxing,” he said. The Riyadh Season pointed out that most fighters dream of maintaining an undefeated record like Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, such records are rare, and phenomena like Mayweather’s success come along only once in a generation. “All the fighters want similar to the career of (Floyd)Mayweather – zero losses. This can happen one time every 50/60/70 years,” the Saudi Royal contended.

Floyd Mayweather VS Dana White’s

Citing Muhammad Ali‘s example, HE Alalshikh said, “We need like the UFC model now, where the champions are losing and winning. Muhammad Ali lost five times and he’s still the legend.

New vision for boxing and Dana White’s arrival

A recent report by The New York Times revealed that a team from Saudi Arabia is in talks with TKO Holdings, the parent company of UFC, to create a new boxing league. It’s been suggested for long. Rather than having separate governing bodies, the idea of consolidating boxing under one unified organization, similar to the UFC, sounds appealing to many. This consolidation would simplify the sport for fans. Forpromoters, it could also become easy to organize major fights that appeal to the audience.

Dana White’s involvement in boxing isn’t entirely new. Despite his focus on mixed martial arts, the UFC president has long been enthusiastic about the sport. In the past, he played a significant role in promoting the mega-fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Last year, White expanded his partnership with Riyadh Season. The ‘Riyadh Season Noche UFC’ in Las Vegas became the highest-grossing event in UFC history. White also made his formal entry into boxing with the launch of ‘UFC Fight Pass,’ which featured Callum Walsh in the main event in Dublin, Ireland, in September. Speaking with the media, White reportedly said, “We’ve been kicking the whole boxing thing around for a long time, but you’ve never heard me commit and say ‘I’m in’. Well, I’m in.

With his vast experience and innovative approach, Dana White could introduce groundbreaking concepts to boxing. His involvement may open new opportunities for young fighters who often face long waits for major bouts, ultimately benefiting the sport as a whole.

What do you think? Do you agree with HE Alalshikh’s view that boxing needs a UFC-style structure and modernization?
