Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles made it clear during the NFL preseason that she wouldn’t be able to attend all of husband Jonathan Owens’ home games this season because of her Gold Over America Tour.

But after missing the Chicago Bears home opener last week against the Tennessee Titans, will Biles be able to make it to the team’s next home game against the Los Angeles Rams at Soldier Field on Sept. 29?

Well, as it turns out, Owens, a safety for the Bears, actually spilled the beans on when Bears fans can expect to see Biles again during a recent interview on the team’s YouTube channel.

“She’ll be here the 29th,” Owens said. “She has a tour stop here that evening at 7; literally perfect. So, she can come to the game at 12 and then boom, I’ll get to go watch her at 7. Pretty dope turnaround.”

The Bears won their home opener against the Titans in Week 1 but fell 19-13 to the Houston Texans on the road on “Sunday Night Football.”

Biles’ Gold Over America Tour actually kicks off the following day with its first stop at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California. From there, the GOAT tour has stops in Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles, California; San Jose, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Denver, Colorado; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin before hitting up Chicago on Sept. 29.

After the Chicago date, the GOAT tour has 21 more stops over the next four-plus weeks before the final show in Detroit, Michigan, on Nov. 3.

After that, Biles will be free to attend the Bears’ five remaining home games against the New England Patriots (Nov. 10), Green Bay Packers (Nov. 17), Minnesota Vikings (Nov. 24), Detroit Lions (Dec. 22) and Seattle Seahawks (Dec. 26).

Anthony Joshua gives his side of Daniel Dubois sparring story in which eye-witness claimed he was left on ‘jelly legs’

Anthony Joshua has provided his first-hand account of the famous sparring session with Daniel Dubois.

In 2017, when Dubois turned over as a professional, rumours began to swirl around boxing circles that Dubois had either dropped or knocked out Joshua in sparring a year prior.

Joshua and Dubois have sparred several times, now they duke it out for real on September 21

His promoter Frank Warren proudly exclaimed that his new signing had iced Joshua when they shared the ring together at the GB Performance Institute in Sheffield, while Dubois was a fresh-faced 18-year-old.

Joshua has remained silent on the topic for several years.

But during an interview with Sky Sports ahead of his upcoming clash with Dubois on September 21, the Watford powerhouse gave his side of the story.

“He just cracked me with a good shot. I stood on my feet,” he said.

“I don’t know where this whole narrative of someone turned my lights off came from.

“There were a lot of people in the gym that day as well.

“And people have come out and said, ‘Nah, nothing [happened]’.

“But anyway, people say what they say. With me, there’s always been like an inch that makes a mile. But it’s all good. It’s all good.”

While Joshua insists ‘nothing happened’, Anthony Fowler – who was on the Team GB squad at the time and claims to have witnessed the spar from ringside – recently told talkSPORT.com that Dubois turned AJ’s legs to jelly.

He said: “They were just sparring normally. Dubois was really young so he wasn’t really trying to win the rounds.

Fowler claims Dubois could have knocked out Joshua but didn’t out of respect

“I wouldn’t say he was in survival mode but he wouldn’t take many risks.

“He was very cagey sparring Joshua. Obviously, Joshua was the main man on the team so he was always quite wary, but he always punched really hard.

“I remember he hit Frazer Clarke so hard that he snapped his ankle.

He fell to the floor and snapped his ankle. After that, he was walking around with a cast so he’s always had that real power Dubois.

“Joshua must have been a little clumsy sparring him and he got caught with a short left hook and Joshua’s legs completely went.

“Dubois could have hit him again and put him to sleep but Dubois had a bit too much respect for him to finish him off.

“Obviously, everyone was stood there like ‘Wow’ and Joshua went and jogged around the ring because his legs were like jelly and he was trying to get his legs back.

“And everyone was going ‘Wait, wait, wait’. Joshua wanted to carry on but Rob McCracken was like ‘Have a little break, get your legs back to normal, and then spar’ and then they continued sparring.

“He didn’t knock him out, he didn’t hit the floor but he was really, really hurt.

“Dubois probably could have hit him again and knocked him out but he chose not to out of respect.

Fresh off winning four medals in the 2024 Paris Games, Simone Biles was spotted back on the mat preparing for her “Gold Over America” tour this year.

The 11-time Olympic medalist recently shared a video of herself practicing a gymnastics skill during rehearsals that was unlike what fans have seen before. Biles has routinely performed and medaled in events such as the vault, balance beam and uneven bars throughout her decorated Games career, but she wowed fans this time by showing her talents in a wholly different gymnastics skill.

In a rehearsal video posted to her Instagram Stories, Biles performed what seemed to be a modified version of the men’s pommel horse routine.

Some fans even made jokes that Stephen Nedoroscik, the inspiration behind the iconic “Pommel Horse Guy” meme and a member of Team USA’s bronze medal-winning squad in Paris, will soon have some fiery competition.

Biles’s national gymnastics tour will span from September to November. Biles revealed she may not attend many of her husband Jonathan Owens’s Chicago Bears games as a result of her busy schedule.

Deontay Wilder Reveals Injury After Loss To Zhilei Zhang: “You Can’t Give Up

Deontay Wilder is facing calls to retire after two back-to-back losses.

The big-hitter from Alabama was out of the ring for 14 months after a first round knockout of Robert Helenius in late 2022. He returned in December of last year to face fellow former world champion Joseph Parker and looked tentative, losing a near shutout on the cards.

With the promise of more aggression, Wilder came back against Zhilei Zhang in June, admitting pre-fight that a loss could spell retirement. China’s Zhang knocked him out in five rounds.

Since then, the likes of Lennox Lewis and Teddy Atlas have advised him to retire. He has been silent on the matter until a recent public appearance in which he also showed off an injury.

In a video shared by Tom Dillemuth from The Lions Den Boxing Community Reunion, Atlanta, the 38-year-old sported a sling on his right arm as he appeared to confirm he would fight on during a thank you speech for a lifetime achievement award.

Just like others have paved the way for me. It’s gratitude to give back. I tell everyone we all have greatness in us and greatness is determined by service. Everyday I wake up I try to provide my service because I know how great I am.

So many may hold you back, so many stop signs may come, many things may come and hinder your craft, but you can’t give up, though. No matter how many falls you may take, you gotta get your ass back up and keep going. And that’s what we’re on the journey doing, the best is yet to come, you understand me? I appreciate the love.”

The extent of the injury – which appears to be Wilder’s arm rather than his hand – is unclear. With plenty of movement in the heavyweight division coming up, fans may hear from him soon

Former World Champion Says A ‘Failed One-Trick Pony’: “I Told You ALL

The former WBC Champion went 40 fights undefeated in his campaign, ending 39 of them inside the distance, before he faced Tyson Fury. The Brit was coming back from a long and damaging lay-off but scored a draw on the cards, surviving two knockdowns.

wilder knocked Dominic Breazeale out in one round and Luis Ortiz in seven before facing Fury again when he would taste defeat in the manner he had been dishing out for years. ‘The Gypsy King’ dominated and stopped him in seven. Wilder was more competitive in the third fight but was ultimately knocked out again.

Since then he has beaten Robert Helenius but lost back-to-back against Joseph Parker (UD) and Zhilei Zhang (KO, 5). It’s not the losses that have made pundits call for him to retire, rather the way in which he has fought – tentatively and without the same threat.

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, three-weight world champion James Toney said that he saw it coming, criticising Wilder’s resume and calling him a ‘one-trick pony’ who didn’t belong at the top level.

“Deontay Wilder and that bomb bulls**t. Everybody was believing in that. I told everyone look who he’s fighting. He fighting bums. If I was fighting them I would have all fights by knockout. The guys he fought I would’ve knocked out in two, three rounds too. They built him up right and then when it was time to come through, he failed. He wasn’t ready. It’s sad seeing what happen to him but it is what it is. Deontay was a one-trick pony.”

Toney has long argued that the fighters of today wouldn’t last two fights in his own era. He was famously tough, losing ten in his career but never being stopped. With 92 fights in total, many felt he clung on too long and should’ve hung up the gloves earlier. Some in the sport are now encouraging Wilder to think the same way.

Simone Biles has continued supporting Team USA teammate Jordan Chiles amid the ongoing controversy over the bronze medal in the floor exercise at the Paris Olympics.

‘We’ve been FaceTiming, texting, just being girls,’ Biles told People while promoting her partnership with a haircare brand. ‘I did talk to her on one of the days, and I was like, ‘You know what, Jordan, you have to feel all these feels. Don’t let these emotions stop you. This will be the healthiest way to get all of this out.’

Simone Biles

It’s been a difficult August for Chiles, who was awarded the bronze in the floor exercise in Paris on August 5 on the back of an appeal by Team USA coach Cecile Landi, who challenged her athlete’s degree-of-difficulty score. That challenge led to a .1 boost, bumping Chiles to 13.766 – just ahead of Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu’s 13.700.

It’s wild, wild Africa, where the streets are the battleground and the training mat for the new-and-coming boxers. The visuals are rare but exciting, engulfing the by-passers and pulling the crowd. It was such a case where the clip of a young female boxer swinging back at her sparring partner broke the internet, even reaching Claressa Shields.

The clip, posted by African Hub on their X handle, has 38k views and is growing, making it a hot trend. After all, it’s rare that you find a female young boxer almost taking the head of her sparring partner. It even swayed the two-division undisputed champion, who enjoyed the aggression and the perfect blend of defense, patience, and some wild swings.

Claressa Shields: Dominating the Ring Across Divisions

Claressa Shields impressed with some wild swings

In the video, the fans can see the two circling, with the male sparring partner having a tall stature, and seeming older than her. While he tries to come at her, she adjusts her head, takes a step back, catches him with a left hook and uppercut, and follows up with combinations. In a couple of instances, she even catches him lacking, almost knocking him out. But a reach disadvantage comes in her way. Shields, 29, shared the clip on her X handle and captioned, “🥹🥹🥹 gone head mama!!!!!”

Interestingly, at one moment in the clip, a by-passer runs by and gives her some money for her captivating performance and wild and powerful swings. After ‘GWOAT’, the fans took to the comment section and expressed their excitement about the visuals and captivating boxing sequences.

One fan pointed out that the uppercut was deadly enough to flatline the male sparring partner, which almost happened, twice. They wrote, “That uppercut if connected would have had that man’s head clocked at 180 degrees godamm.”

John Gotti III says he didn’t care if he never saw Floyd Mayweather ever again.

But when the rematch was presented, it was an easy yes.

The Mayweather vs. Gotti 1 exhibition bout in June 2023 ended in controversy and pandemonium. Gotti was disqualified in Round 6 for frequent fouls – and that’s when a big in-ring melee broke out between the teams.

“As a fighter, emotions and tensions are running high,” Gotti recently told MMA Junkie. “The fight became very personal very early. Floyd became his verbal assault, and physical, right from the opening bell. I wasn’t going to lay down and show my belly for anybody. If I had submitted, I think Kenny Bayless would’ve been OK with it. But I’m not going to take anybody’s stuff. When I started verbally attacking him back, it became a problem. I think the hypocrisy there is a little confusing to me.”

What happened, happened. Eventually, heads cooled, at least enough to revisit doing business with one another. Mayweather, 47, and Gotti, 31, agreed to rematch, but it took over a year to get a finalized date on the books.

The exhibition rematch takes place Saturday at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. While Gotti doesn’t take what Mayweather yapped in the ring as anything beyond gamesmanship, there is unfinished business.

“The fight was unfinished. I think the fight was just getting good to be honest. The fifth and sixth rounds were the most interesting rounds of the fight. I was perplexed why they stopped the fight, to be honest with you. … The fight was just getting interesting. I was starting to feel good and I was getting settled in. Floyd punched himself out, whether he liked it or not. His output was almost gone at that point. He was throwing just jabs in the fifth and sixth round. He thought he was going to come in there and knock me out. He thought I was going to lay down and he thought wrong.”

Gotti wishes the Mayweather fight was professional and not exhibition. But at 50-0, Mayweather seems content not risking the zero during the twilight of his career, Exhibition or not, Gotti thinks a win over Mayweather would be historic.

“People are still going to watch the fight,” Gotti said. “They’re still going to judge the rounds of the fight. If I go in there and win some rounds on him and look good doing it on him convincingly, he’ll be leaving an impression on people. So it’s important. Floyd definitely treats it like a pro fight. I’ve never seen Floyd more determined and aggressive in any fight in his entire career.”

The grandson of the infamous gangster who sported the same name, he first appeared on the combat sports radar in MMA. After five straight wins to kick off his pro career, Gotti lost for the first time in October 2020. He then pivoted to pro boxing, where he went 2-0.

Saturday’s match will tell Gotti which career path he should go down.

“I think this fight is going to be very telling of my future,” Gotti said. “I’m going to wait and see how this fight plays out. If all goes well, I’m sure proper opportunities will come up in boxing. I’m definitely open to coming back to MMA at some point. I’m not ever going to leave on a loss. I’ll at least try to come back to MMA and finish my career on a win. My last fight didn’t go as planned. This came into our hands, the Floyd Mayweather fight. So listen, we take it one fight at a time.”

Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois have officially sold out Wembley Stadium for their highly anticipated IBF heavyweight world title fight on September 21.

The event, which promises to be a historic night in boxing, will feature a stacked undercard and a performance by Liam Gallagher. Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, announced that all general admission tickets have been sold, leaving only a limited number of platinum and hospitality tickets available.

For Joshua, Wembley is a familiar battleground. This is the arena where he famously defeated Wladimir Klitschko, propelling him to global stardom, and where he later secured a victory over Alexander Povetkin. However, this time, Joshua enters the ring not as the reigning champion but as the challenger, facing Dubois, who was recently elevated to full championship status after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the IBF title.

Dubois, eager to make his mark in the sport, views this fight as a career-defining opportunity. The young, hungry fighter has been preparing rigorously, with his trainer, Don Charles, stating that Dubois is in the best shape of his life. Dubois himself has made it clear that he is ready for the challenge.

I’m just aiming to be the best. To fight the best and beat the best,” Dubois said. “AJ has been the king for a long time, and we all know it, so on the night, I need to become a king-slayer. That’s my goal, and that’s the mission at hand. I’ve improved all around as a fighter and an athlete. I’m really up for this and ready to go.”

Joshua, fully aware of the stakes, remains focused on the task ahead. “I’m not silly, either, I know the game. We’re all in the wild. We’re a pack of lions and hunters. It’s the next man up. I’ve had Dubois on my mind for a while. The goal is just to get through a successful training camp, and then perform on the night,” Joshua said.

With the stadium packed and the stakes high, the clash between Joshua and Dubois is set to be one of the most electrifying events in boxing this year.
