Most recently, he once again showed his power by knocking down Joshua and then stopping the former two-time world champion inside five rounds back in September at Wembley Stadium in front of a record crowd.
Speaking to Ring Magazine, Dubois was asked what he would do if he were now in Joshua’s position.
Joshua has remained quiet on this front, but many believed he was hoping to have a legacy-defining contest with Tyson Fury, but that took a big blow when Fury announced this week he is retiring from the sport.
Dubois meanwhile has his hands full with a second defence of his IBF crown when he takes on former WBO champion Joseph Parker on February 22. Parker is also on a hot run right now having beaten Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang, both on points, in his last two outings.
