If there are two things the golf world is known for, it’s the unhinged fanbase of Tiger Woods and the golfer himself. However, what happened a few days ago has to take the cake among other things his fans have done. So, we all know there are no limits that Woods’s fans can’t go to if it comes to proving that they’re the most elite fans. Well, we’re here to tell you that something like this has happened, yet again!

In a recent auction posted on the Golf Auction’s website, they had put a rare ticket signed by the golfer himself and yes, the fans lost their collective minds over it. This rare ticket stub was from the 1996 B.C. Open Pro-Am which is now considered a piece of golf history. What makes it even more special is that it’s from Woods’s fourth professional start, where he finished third at just 20 years old. As we already established, most of its value lies in the fact that the ticket is signed by Woods himself with a black sharpie and has been authenticated by the Professional Sports Authenticator.

The ticket was originally priced at just $3, however, this ticket stub’s value increased exponentially over the years, but nobody would’ve imagined that the ticket would sell for this much! The minimum bidding price was $200 and after 25 bids, it sold for $4,245.84. No, we’re not kidding! The ticket sold for approximately 1414 times its price which makes it a prized possession for any Tiger Woods fan or golf enthusiast.

The 1996 B.C. Open was a turning point for Woods for mainly two reasons. Before this, the golfer hadn’t won a PGA Tour event, but his outstanding performance hinted at big things to come. Tiger had declared his arrival on the professional golf scene with his now-famous “Hello World” press conference, just a month before that. But this is not the first time something like this has happened in the golf world.

Tiger Woods’s fan paid $8,674 for a three-decade-old ticket

You won’t believe what happened in the golf world just a month ago, or maybe you will. A rare ticket from Tiger Woods’s professional debut in 1992 has sold for a whopping $8,674.51. The Golf Auction recently listed this 32-year-old ticket and a heap of buyers from around the globe came looking for it. The selling price was 300 times more than its original price! Yes, the original ticket was just $25.

The ticket is from the Los Angeles Open at Riviera and has become a highly sought-after collector’s item because of its significance with Woods. At just 16 years old, Woods had made history by competing as the youngest male competitor in an official Tour event. His amazing performance earned him a sponsor exemption and kickstarted his ever-green career. So, are you a Tiger Woods fan as well? Do share your thoughts in the comment section below!
